India's Space Ambitions: Shukla and ISRO
Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian astronaut, recently returned from the International Space Station.
He told kids that space is a peaceful and amazing place.
He said India has big plans for space, like sending people to the moon by 2040.
ISRO, India's space agency, announced that they will start launching rockets from a new place in Tamil Nadu in 2027.
They also said they are working on a big mission called Gaganyaan to send Indians to space.
They plan to build a space station by 2035.
Shukla believes that with hard work, India's space goals are achievable.
He wants to go on a space walk next, which will take two more years of training.
Shubhanshu Shukla, the first Indian astronaut to visit the ISS, shared his experiences and India's space ambitions with schoolchildren.
ISRO announced that rockets will be launched from Kulasekarapattinam, Tamil Nadu, starting in 2027.
India's space goals include the Gaganyaan program, an Indian space station by 2035, and a moon mission by 2040.
Shukla emphasized that space missions inspire children and create employment opportunities, urging students to take ownership of India's space aspirations.
The Gaganyaan mission is progressing well, with plans to send astronauts in 2027 and a space station module launch in 2028.
