Ram Charan Undergoes Wrist Surgery After Chronic Injury
Ram Charan, a popular actor, hurt his wrist while shooting a movie.
The injury was a tear in a small cartilage area called the TFCC, which can be hard to heal.
Doctors first tried rest, splints, medicine and therapy, but the pain stayed.
So they did a small‑cut surgery to fix it.
After the operation, he will wear a splint, do physical therapy, and wait a few months before lifting heavy things or playing sports again.
Ram Charan had surgery for a chronic wrist injury sustained during filming of Peddi.
The injury was a TFCC tear, a cartilage and ligament complex on the little finger side of the wrist.
Conservative treatments (rest, splints, pain medication, physiotherapy) did not resolve the pain, leading to arthroscopic surgery.
Doctors warn that chronic wrist injuries can arise from sports, gym workouts, repetitive work or everyday activities, and early treatment can prevent surgery.
Post‑surgery recovery includes splinting, physiotherapy, gradual return to activity, and avoiding heavy lifting or sports for 2–3 months.
