Sholay: The Final Cut Releases
The famous movie Sholay is coming back to theaters after 50 years!
This special version, called Sholay: The Final Cut, has the original ending that was not shown before and two scenes that were cut out.
It also has a changed line where Amitabh Bachchan's character now says 'Tatya Tope's grandson' instead of 'James Bond's grandson'.
The movie has been restored in 4K and will be shown in 1500 theaters across India on December 12, 2025.
Fans are excited to see the original ending and the updated version of the movie.
The original ending was banned because it was too violent, but now it will be shown for the first time.
The movie's villain, Gabbar Singh, was originally played by Amjad Khan, but another actor was considered for the role before him.
Sholay: The Final Cut is a 4K restored version of the 1975 classic, including the original climax and two deleted scenes.
The film will be released in 1500 screens across India on December 12, 2025, to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
A notable change in the new version is the replacement of the dialogue 'James Bond's grandson' with 'Tatya Tope's grandson'.
The original climax, previously banned, depicts Thakur killing Gabbar Singh with spiked shoes.
Fans are excited about the re-release, with mixed reactions to the changed dialogue and the inclusion of the original, violent climax.
