UAE Suspends Iran Trade After Ballistic Missile Incident

UAE Suspends Iran Trade After Ballistic Missile Incident

The United Arab Emirates has stopped trade and financial dealings with Iran.

The suspension will continue until officials decide otherwise.

The UAE said its defence systems detected two missiles coming from Iran.

Both missiles fell into the Gulf, and officials said they may have been aimed at ships or sea traffic.

One missile reportedly fell inside UAE waters and the other outside them.

People in the UAE briefly received a warning to move to safe places because of a possible missile threat.

The warning was later cancelled, and no casualties or damage were reported in one account.

Iran said it did not fire the missiles and called the accusation baseless.

The disagreement has increased concerns about shipping, energy routes and economic stability in the Gulf.
