NCERT to Standardize Certificates for Education, Jobs
NCERT now decides if high school certificates from different Indian boards are equal.
This change ensures the certificates are valid for higher education and government jobs.
The Ministry of Education announced this in an official notice on September 6, 2025.
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) used to handle this.
NCERT will use PARAKH, its assessment center, for this.
It affects certificates from all major boards across India.
NCERT will determine the equivalence of Class 10 and 12 certificates.
The Ministry of Education issued a notification.
This is for admissions to higher education.
This is also for employment in government jobs.
