Gumuduru Women Demand Apology Over Red-Light Remark

Women from Gumuduru village are upset about words allegedly used by MLA Dr Bhukya Murali Naik.

They say he referred to their village as a “red-light area.”

The alleged comment was made during a coaching programme on Sunday.

The women want him to explain what he meant.

They also want him to take back the remark and apologise publicly.

Former MP Maloth Kavitha criticised the alleged statement.

Opposition leaders said they may organise a protest.

The exact context of the MLA’s alleged words remains unclear.
