China's 2025 Car Sales Slow, Exports Surge

In 2025, China's car sales grew slowly, with a big drop in December.

This was the slowest growth in three years.

Electric and hybrid cars sold more than gas cars for the first time, but their growth also slowed.

Many car companies didn't meet their sales goals.

However, Chinese car exports did well, especially electric vehicles, which sold a lot overseas.

This helped some companies, like BYD, which became the world's biggest electric car maker.

The slowdown happened because some cities stopped giving money to help people buy cars, making the market more competitive.
