Uttarakhand Targets Pucca Homes for 15,000 Families Under PMAY-U

Uttarakhand is building permanent houses for families who need them.

The homes are being constructed through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban scheme.

There are 15,496 homes planned in 18 projects across the state.

About 84% of the homes are already finished.

Some families in Roorkee and Haridwar have received keys to their new homes.

Officials want the remaining work finished by September 30.

The government expects more than 15,000 families to have homes by December.

It is also increasing its financial help for eligible families from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000.
