UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Registration Schedule Announced
Every year, students in India take a big test called NEET UG if they want to become doctors or dentists.
In the state of Uttar Pradesh, the students who passed this test now need to sign up for counselling.
Counselling is the step where students choose which medical or dental college they want to join.
The government office in charge of this process is called the Directorate of Medical Education and Training, or DMET for short.
Students must register on the official website, upneet.gov.in.
The first round of registration starts on August 7, 2026, at 12 noon.
It ends on August 12, 2026, at 2 pm, so students should not wait too long.
Students have to pay a fee and upload documents that prove they are eligible.
Then they pick their favourite colleges and courses and must lock in their choices.
After that, seats are given based on test scores, category, and other rules.
Round 1 of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 has been scheduled for MBBS and BDS admissions in Uttar Pradesh's government and private medical and dental colleges.
