Bangkok’s Weekend Floods Submerge Cars, Disrupt Flights, and Flood Markets

Bangkok’s Weekend Floods Submerge Cars, Disrupt Flights, and Flood Markets

Bangkok received almost nonstop rain over the weekend.

So much water gathered that cars were covered and some roads became difficult to use.

People at one market walked through water to buy food.

Some vendors floated boxes of food so they could keep selling.

Videos also showed motorcyclists and a jet ski moving through flooded streets.

Some videos appeared to show snakes and fish in the water, but NDTV had not independently checked them.

Flooding also made it hard for airport workers to reach Suvarnabhumi Airport.

This caused flights to run late and thousands of bags to pile up.

The water started to go down on Monday, but more rain could still cause flooding.
