RBI: Data Quality Index for Banks Improves in March 2025
Imagine a report card for how well banks manage their financial data.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) created this report card, called the Supervisory Data Quality Index, or sDQI.
The sDQI checks if the bank's data is accurate, on time, complete, and consistent.
In March 2025, the report card showed an improvement, with the sDQI score going up to 89.3.
This means the banks are getting better at keeping their financial records in good shape.
The RBI uses this score to keep an eye on the financial health of all kinds of banks, including small ones.
The Supervisory Data Quality Index (sDQI) for commercial banks improved in March 2025.
The sDQI score reached 89.3, up from 88.6 in the previous year.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) created the sDQI to assess data quality.
The index measures accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and consistency.
The sDQI covers 87 Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs) and their key returns.
