BCCI Plans Long-Term Career Path for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a 15-year-old cricket player from Bihar.
He became famous very quickly after strong performances in the IPL and domestic cricket.
He made his India debut against England but scored only 14, 13 and 15 in three innings.
He was left out of the playing XI for England’s final T20I.
He then played much better against Zimbabwe and won the Player of the Series award.
Reports give different totals for his Zimbabwe runs, listing either 151 or more than 200.
The BCCI wants him to have a long career like Sachin Tendulkar.
The board says it will develop him carefully instead of rushing him into bigger assignments.
It is also monitoring 10 to 15 other young players.
