Taylor Swift to Receive MTV’s First Artist Director Honor
Taylor Swift is getting a brand-new award from MTV.
It honors singers who also direct creative music videos.
Swift started directing her own videos in 2020 with “The Man.”
She also directed a short film based on her song “All Too Well.”
Other videos she directed include “cardigan,” “willow,” “Anti-Hero,” “Bejeweled” and “Fortnight.”
She has won Best Direction at the VMAs four times.
Swift currently has the same number of VMA awards as Beyoncé, with 30 each.
This new honor would raise Swift’s total to 31 awards.
