Parliament turned into meme while accountability takes back seat

Parliament turned into meme while accountability takes back seat

India has a special place called Parliament where leaders are supposed to talk about big problems and make new laws.

For a whole month, though, the leaders did not do their work.

Instead, they shouted rude slogans, held soft toys, and made jokes.

This cost the country about 200 crores of rupees.

Before this, students had gathered for a rally at a place called Jantar Mantar, and the police fired at them.

The leaders wanted to know who ordered the police to shoot.

The writer of the article thinks the leaders were really trying to stop new laws from being passed.

The writer also says leaders should work for the people instead of acting like they are in a show.

He believes leaders should not get their salary if they stop Parliament from working.
