Searchlight Acquires Rights to A.C. Robinson's Grand Rising

Searchlight has bought the rights to a short story called 'Grand Rising' by A.C. Robinson.

Lena Waithe, who has won an Emmy, will write the script, and Steven Caple Jr., who has directed big movies, will direct it.

The story is about a family and is described as a psychological horror-thriller.

Many people are working together to make this movie happen, and they are all very excited about it.

A.C. Robinson has also written a novel version of the story, which will be published soon.

This is a big deal because it's the first high-profile sale of the year.
