Arundhati Roy's 1989 Film to Screen at 2026 Berlin Film Fest

The film was restored by the Film Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the National Film Archive of India (NFAI).
The restoration used the original 16 mm camera negative along with a 35 mm print, bringing renewed clarity to the film's irreverent tone and sharply observed portrait of student life in late-1980s India.
