Jason Arday, Youngest Black Cambridge Professor, Found Dead in London

A man named Jason Arday was a professor at a very famous university in England called Cambridge, and he was the youngest Black professor in the university's history.

Earlier this month, he stopped working at the university because some people said he copied parts of his school work and made other claims that were not true.

Mr. Arday said he did not accept those claims, and no investigation had officially proven them.

Some people said the criticism of him was unfair and could hurt other Black teachers.

On Friday afternoon, police and ambulance workers were called to a house in a part of south London called Battersea.

They found Mr. Arday not responding, and sadly he died at the scene; he was 41 years old.

The police said his death was unexpected, but they do not believe anything suspicious happened.

His family said a campaign of untrue stories and unkind treatment was too much for him to handle.

The leader of Cambridge University said the university was very sad to hear the news.

A book written by Mr. Arday was published in the United States this week.
