Architect S D Sharma Honored with France’s Order of Arts and Letters

A famous architect named Shivdatt Sharma received a special award from France called the Order of Arts and Letters.

The award was given by the French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou, at the French residence in New Delhi.

Sharma was honored for his work in modern architecture and for helping to build a strong cultural connection between India and France.

He started his career in Chandigarh and worked with famous architects Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret on a big project to design the city.

Later, he also worked on designing buildings for the Indian Space Research Organisation.

Sharma felt very humble to receive this award from a country that has inspired many people with its culture and art.
