Telangana Speaker Clears Two More MLAs
The speaker of the Telangana assembly, Gaddam Prasad, has decided that two more lawmakers, Kale Yadaiah and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, did not switch political parties.
This means they can still be part of their original party, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Earlier, the speaker had already cleared five other lawmakers of similar charges.
All these lawmakers said they only met with the chief minister to talk about development and did not join any other party.
The speaker believed their explanations and dismissed the complaints against them.
Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad cleared two more MLAs, Kale Yadaiah and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, of defection charges.
The Speaker found no substantial evidence to suggest the MLAs had changed political parties.
Both MLAs are officially recognized as members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
This ruling follows the Speaker's previous dismissal of disqualification petitions against five other MLAs.
A total of seven MLAs have now been cleared of defection charges, with all confirming their loyalty to the BRS.
