TCA Warns Players Against Unauthorized HCA Events
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) has warned cricket players from Hyderabad and Telangana not to participate in tournaments organized by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) that are not approved by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The TCA said that playing in these unauthorized events could lead to serious punishments, like being disqualified.
They also mentioned that the TPL (Telangana Premier League) will be conducted following all BCCI rules, and all eligible players will have a fair chance to show their skills.
The TCA plans to have Telangana teams play in BCCI's domestic tournaments starting from the 2026-27 season.
Additionally, they accused a state minister of interfering in cricket administration, which they say goes against the rules.
TCA warns players against participating in unauthorized HCA tournaments, citing BCCI Rule 31.
BCCI letter from March 21, 2018, states that HCA's proposed TPL is not authorized.
TCA assures transparent TPL with equal opportunities for all eligible players.
TCA plans to field Telangana state teams in BCCI domestic tournaments from 2026-27.
TCA alleges political interference in cricket administration, violating BCCI Rule 38.
