India's Two-Wheeler Sales Surge Due to Festive Demand
India's two-wheeler market saw a big jump in sales!
This happened because of the holidays and a tax cut on some motorcycles.
Lots of people bought bikes and scooters, pushing sales past two million.
Hero MotoCorp sold the most, while Royal Enfield had the biggest increase.
The growth was helped by the start of the Navratri festival and the GST tax relief.
The report from Axis Securities reflected a mixed trend with sales of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles and tractors increasing while passenger vehicle volumes slipped.
Two-wheeler sales in India increased by 9% year-on-year in September.
Sales surpassed two million units, fueled by festive demand.
The government reduced GST on motorcycles up to 350cc to 18%.
Royal Enfield experienced the highest surge in sales, with a 43% increase.
The revival of demand was strong with the onset of Navratri and the GST relief.
