CPM Protests Alleged Attack on Murshidabad Party Office

The CPM said a group attacked and damaged its party office in Behrampore on Thursday night.

The party said the group wanted to hold a meeting in the narrow lane outside the office.

CPM leaders said furniture, posters, flags, and banners were damaged.

The party reported the incident to the police.

On Friday, CPM supporters marched in several parts of Murshidabad and asked for arrests.

CPM leader Zamir Molla also criticised the police response.

BJP district president Malay Mahajan condemned the alleged damage but said the BJP was not involved.

He called for the police to investigate what happened.
