CDSCO Flags Spurious Drugs, Many Fail Quality Standards
The government checks medicines to make sure they are safe and work.
In August, they found some fake and low-quality drugs.
Three drugs were found to be fake, meaning made by the wrong companies.
These included medicines for stomach problems and anxiety.
Also, 94 other drugs didn't meet quality standards.
This means they might not work as well as they should.
The government is now investigating and will take action to keep people safe.
CDSCO flagged 3 spurious drugs and 94 that failed quality tests.
Spurious drugs include those for acid reflux (Pan D, Pan 40) and anxiety (Diazepam Injection).
All identified spurious drugs were found in Bihar.
94 NSQ drugs include paracetamol, pantoprazole, domperidone, and ambrospas.
The ministry stated that failures are specific to the tested batches only.
