Inflation Returns, Reviving the Global Fight Against Rising Prices

Inflation means prices are rising.

A few years ago, central banks tried to slow price increases without causing a recession.

This goal was called a soft landing.

Some countries came close to reaching it.

Now, prices are starting to rise more quickly again in many places.

Because of this, more central banks are fighting inflation harder.

The problem is not as painful as it was four years ago.

However, the signs suggest that controlling inflation may still be difficult.
