Hubble Telescope Images Comet 3I/ATLAS From Another Star
The Hubble Space Telescope took a new picture of a comet called 3I/ATLAS that came from another star system.
It's only the third object like this we've seen.
The comet is fast, but it won't hit Earth; it will pass near Mars.
Scientists used the new picture to guess how big the comet is, it might be just a little bit bigger than half a mile.
Hubble Space Telescope captured the best image of comet 3I/ATLAS.
3I/ATLAS is an interstellar object, only the third known to visit.
The comet poses no threat to Earth.
Hubble observations estimate the comet's core at a maximum of 3.5 miles.
The comet is traveling at 130,000 mph and will pass near Mars.
