Faculty Association Demands Salaries, Genuine Insurance From Colleges

A faculty association in Telangana says college teachers should receive all the money they are owed.

The government has released fee reimbursement funds for the current financial year.

The association says some colleges still paid teachers only part of their salaries for eight months.

It wants colleges to follow rules requiring full salaries, including seventh pay scale benefits.

It also says teachers need real accident insurance and working health cards.

The association alleged that some colleges submitted fake insurance records.

It said teachers have also not received payment for supervising examinations.

The group is asking colleges to pay all these dues quickly.
