Heavy Delhi Rain Triggers Red Alert, Waterlogging and Traffic Chaos

It rained a lot in Delhi, India, on Friday.

The rain was so heavy that many roads filled with water, creating giant puddles.

Cars got stuck in very long traffic jams all over the city.

Some places got more than 100 mm of rain, which is a huge amount.

The weather scientists at the India Meteorological Department put out a red alert, which means 'be very careful today.'

Some airplanes had problems and could not fly on time.

Airline companies like IndiGo and Air India told passengers to check their flight status before going to the airport.

Many famous places, like near the Red Fort, had water on the roads.

The weather experts said light or medium rain might continue in Delhi until August 10.

People were told to allow extra travel time and stay safe.
