Court Asks Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty to Deposit Rs 60 Crore
The Bombay High Court asked Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra to deposit Rs 60 crore or provide a bank guarantee from a nationalized bank of the same amount.
This is to suspend the Look Out Circular (LOC) that stops them from traveling abroad.
The LOC was issued in connection with a cheating case being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Maharashtra Police.
The couple wants to travel to London to visit Raj Kundra's ailing father, who is 79 years old and has a serious health condition.
The court will hear their plea after three weeks, but the couple's lawyer requested an urgent hearing and suggested depositing a reasonable security amount instead of the full Rs 60 crore.
