Mohali MC Launches Anti-Encroachment Drive, Seizes Goods
Imagine a city where shop owners and people selling things sometimes put their items on the sidewalks or roads, making it hard for others to walk or drive.
In Mohali, the city's clean-up crew went out on a Friday to fix this.
They took away lots of furniture and other things that were in the way, especially in areas where people had been selling furniture and other goods for a long time.
The city officials said they had gotten many complaints about this problem.
This helped make the streets clear again for everyone to use.
Mohali Municipal Corporation conducted an anti-encroachment drive on Friday.
The operation targeted illegal rehris, roadside stock, and furniture.
Areas covered include Sector 70, Sector 67, and the main road between Phase 4 and Phase 2.
Illegally stored furniture and other encroachments obstructing traffic were seized.
The drive was initiated following complaints from local councillors about misuse of public space.
