Hyundai Motor India Q1 Profit Falls 35% Amid Fire
Hyundai Motor India made less money in the first three months of its 2027 fiscal year.
A fire at a supplier plant stopped them from making cars for a month.
They also sold fewer cars abroad because of fighting in West Asia.
Even though they lost money, the company says it has already made up most of the lost cars and still expects to grow sales next year.
They plan to add more production lines and launch new cars, including electric and CNG models, to help their business.
Q1 net profit dropped 35% to ₹888.6 crore after a supplier fire and export weakness.
Revenue fell 0.5% to ₹16,334.6 crore, but beat analyst estimates.
EBITDA fell 31% to ₹1,511 crore, margin contracted to 9.3%.
Exports fell 1.3% to 38,708 units, hit by West Asia conflict and production loss.
Hyundai plans third‑shift production at Pune plant and new vehicle launches to boost growth.
