MP Seeks Railway Divisions and Connectivity Expansion in Telangana
Vaddiraju Ravichandra asked railway officials to improve train services and stations in several Telangana districts.
He wants Kazipet and Kothagudem to become railway divisions.
He also wants a railway line extended from Kothagudem to the pilgrimage town of Bhadrachalam.
This could make travel easier for people in nearby tribal and rural areas.
He asked for more trains, restored services and additional stops at many stations.
He requested lifts, escalators, underpasses, bridges and more CCTV cameras.
He also asked officials to complete station improvement projects more quickly.
Some of his requests concern parking fees, railway land and a proposed bypass near Nizamabad.
Railway authorities were asked to consider the demands as a priority.
BRS Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra urged South Central Railway to establish divisions at Kazipet and Kothagudem.
He called for extending the railway line from Kothagudem station to Bhadrachalam and adding a direct service to Tirupati.
Ravichandra sought faster completion of station upgrades, including works at Khammam, Kothagudem and Madhira.
He requested restored services and additional train halts across Khammam, Mahabubabad, Madhira, Kesamudram, Nekkonda and other stations.
The MP also raised concerns about parking fees, passenger safety, railway land, proposed station closures and a Nizamabad bypass.
