HHRC Slams Power Dept Over Electrocution Death of Disabled Man
Imagine a man named Rajneesh, who couldn't walk easily, touched an electrical box without a fence around it.
Sadly, he was electrocuted and died.
The Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) is like a team that makes sure everyone is treated fairly.
They found that the power company and local officials were careless because they didn't protect the electrical box, which is like leaving a dangerous toy out.
The HHRC is making the government pay the man's family and is investigating how this happened to make sure it doesn't happen again.
They are also asking them to check all the other electrical boxes to ensure that they are safe.
Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) criticized the power department for the death of a differently-abled man.
The man was electrocuted after touching an unfenced transformer.
HHRC cited 'administrative failure' and 'dereliction of duty' by the power department and Sonipat officials.
HHRC ordered the state government to compensate the victim's family and conduct an inquiry.
The commission wants a district-wise audit of transformers to ensure safety.
