Intel to Cut Jobs, Scale Back as it Falls Behind Nvidia
Intel, a big company that makes computer chips, is having a tough time.
They're cutting jobs and stopping some projects because they're not doing as well as their competitors, especially Nvidia.
The company is reducing its workforce by a lot.
They're also changing where they make and test their products, moving from some places to others.
This is because they missed out on some new technologies and now they need to make some changes to get back on track.
Intel plans to cut 31% of its workforce to streamline operations.
The company will end the year with 75,000 employees, down from 108,900.
Planned projects in Germany and Poland are being scrapped.
Assembly and test operations in Costa Rica are moving to Vietnam and Malaysia.
Intel's market cap is significantly lower than rival Nvidia.
