India Returns 80 Nepal Jail Escapees
India recently caught 80 people who had escaped from prisons in Nepal during some big protests.
These protests happened in September and were about some people being upset over corruption.
The escapees tried to hide in India, but the Indian border guards, called the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), found them.
India and Nepal have a very long open border, which makes it easy for people to cross.
The SSB works hard to keep an eye on this border to stop bad things like smuggling and people hiding from the law.
Some of the escapees were from other countries like Brazil, Nigeria, and Bangladesh.
India and Nepal had a meeting recently to talk about how to work together better to keep their border safe.
80 jail inmates escaped from Nepal during September protests over alleged corruption.
Escapees, including some from Brazil, Nigeria, and Bangladesh, tried to hide in India.
Indian border guards (SSB) intercepted the escapees in states like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal.
