Howrah Division Completes Major Bridge Works
The Howrah Division of Eastern Railway did some big repairs on three important bridges.
They replaced old parts with new, stronger ones that can hold more weight.
They used huge cranes to do the work quickly and safely in just seven hours.
These bridges are very important because they help both cargo and passenger trains move around.
The work was done in a place called the Sahibganj Loop, which is a key part of the railway network.
Howrah Division replaced plate girders on three bridges in the Sainthia–Nalhati section.
The work was completed within a seven-hour traffic block using 350-ton and 500-ton cranes.
New welded plate girders were installed to support a 25-ton axle load.
The operation was carried out safely and efficiently by the Bridge Unit of Howrah Division.
The Sahibganj Loop is a strategically vital corridor for both freight and passenger trains.
