Youngster Survives Life-Saving Surgery After Accident
Imagine a young man named Tauhid who got hurt in a bad accident.
A piece of bamboo went into his neck and hurt his food pipe, making it hard to eat and breathe.
He had to have a few surgeries.
For a long time, every time he swallowed, food and spit would go into his lungs instead of his stomach, making him cough.
Doctors in Mumbai helped him by fixing the holes in his food and wind pipes.
Now he can eat, breathe, and talk normally again.
Tauhid Khan, 20, suffered critical injuries from a bike accident in December 2022.
A bamboo pole pierced his neck, tearing his oesophagus and causing a tracheoesophageal fistula.
He underwent multiple treatments in Nagpur and Mumbai, including lung surgery.
In March 2025, he had an eight-hour surgery in Mumbai to repair the damage.
The surgery was successful; he is now recovering and regaining strength.
