Andhra Pradesh to Establish Engineering College at Vikrama Simhapuri University
The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to set up an engineering college at Vikrama Simhapuri University in Nellore.
This college will offer four programs: Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Each program will have 60 seats, making a total of 240 seats per year.
The government will also provide boarding and lodging facilities for students from backward classes.
The local MLA, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, welcomed this decision, saying it will help students in Nellore pursue professional education in fields with good job prospects.
He thanked the education minister and the BC welfare minister for their support.
This new college will add to the existing educational infrastructure in the region, including a BC Gurukul Junior College that has already been established.
