Telangana Upgrades Animal Traps After Leopard Injury
The Telangana Forest Department is changing the design of animal traps to keep animals from getting hurt.
This is because a leopard was recently injured while trying to escape from a trap.
The new traps will have smooth sides instead of metal bars so the animals don't hurt themselves.
The injured leopard is being treated at a zoo and will be released back into the wild when it's healthy.
Telangana Forest Department will upgrade animal trap cages.
The upgrade follows a leopard's injury in a traditional trap.
New cages will use fibreglass to prevent self-inflicted injuries.
The injured leopard is being treated at Nehru Zoological Park.
The leopard will be released back into the wild when recovered.
