Congress MLA warns BLOs on electoral roll irregularities
A senior Congress leader in Tripura, Sudip Roy Barman, warned that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will face public backlash if they try to remove real voters or add fake ones to the voter list.
He said this during a training session for party workers in Agartala.
He also accused the ruling BJP of trying to stop the training program by not allowing decorations or setting up a stage.
Despite these issues, the training went ahead.
He hopes the Chief Minister will ensure fair treatment for political programs.
The Congress wants a clean voter list but is worried about unfair practices.
The Election Commission is updating voter lists in many states, and some BLOs have faced a lot of work and stress.
Sudip Roy Barman warned BLOs against deleting genuine voters or adding fake names to the electoral rolls.
He accused the BJP of trying to obstruct the training program for booth-level agents.
The training program was held outdoors due to alleged obstruction by the BJP.
Barman hopes the Chief Minister will take action to ensure fair political programs.
The Congress aims for a transparent and error-free electoral roll.
