Googlebook Launch Brings Five Premium Android Laptops With AI
Google has introduced a new kind of laptop called Googlebook.
Five companies—Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo—will make the first models.
People can preorder them now.
Prices start at $899 and go up to $1,299.
The laptops are designed to work closely with Android phones.
They include artificial-intelligence tools such as Gemini and Magic Pointer.
Users can also access phone files and use some of the same apps on both devices.
The computers may use different kinds of processors, including chips from Qualcomm and MediaTek.
Google says these laptops will not replace Chromebooks.
Chromebooks will continue to operate separately.
