Mithun Chakraborty Takes Sarcastic Dig At Kolkata Film Festival Snub
An actor named Mithun Chakraborty loves making movies.
He makes movies in many languages, including Bengali.
A big film festival in Kolkata did not invite him.
Mithun felt a little hurt by this.
He made a joke about it to reporters.
He said he must be "a very minor artiste," which means a small or unimportant actor.
He said a film festival in Moscow did invite him.
He was in Kolkata to plan a big birthday celebration.
The celebration is for Uttam Kumar, a famous Bengali movie star.
Mithun will also appear in a new movie called Jailer 2.
Mithun Chakraborty was not invited to the Kolkata Film Festival and took a sarcastic dig at the organisers.
He joked, 'I am a very minor artiste. Maybe that's why they didn't invite me.'
The actor said he has been invited to the Moscow Film Festival instead of the Kolkata event.
His comments came during a Kolkata visit for a meeting on Uttam Kumar's birth centenary celebrations.
Mithun will make a cameo in Jailer 2, a Rajinikanth-led film scheduled for release in 2027.
