Rajasthan Seeks Expansion of Regional Air Connectivity Scheme

Rajasthan Seeks Expansion of Regional Air Connectivity Scheme

The government of Rajasthan wants more airplanes to fly to and from more cities in the state!

They're asking the central government to expand a program called the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), also known as Udan.

This plan helps airplanes fly to smaller cities.

Right now, flights operate to Bikaner, Kishangarh, and Jaisalmer.

The state wants to add Mount Abu, Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, Sriganganagar, and Bhilwara.

This would help tourists see the beautiful and historic places and potentially create jobs.

The state is working on improving airports, like Kishangarh, and building a new one in Kota.

They've also signed deals with companies to invest in more aviation projects.
