Razorpay Launches Corporate Cards to Aid Indian Start-Ups
Razorpay, a company that helps businesses handle money, has created new credit cards specifically for start-up companies.
These cards give start-ups access to credit up to ₹2 crore without needing to put up any assets as security.
This is a big deal because most start-ups in India currently can't get their own company credit cards, forcing founders to use their personal ones.
These new cards have low fees for transactions made in foreign currencies and protect the founders from personal financial risk.
Razorpay processes a huge amount of money each year.
The launch of these cards is part of Razorpay's plan, as many start-ups are also planning to join the stock market.
RazorpayX launched corporate credit cards in partnership with Mastercard, RBL Bank, and YES Bank.
The cards are aimed at start-ups with credit limits up to ₹2 crore without collateral.
The cards have a low foreign exchange mark-up fee of 2.5% and no personal liability.
95% of Indian start-ups cannot get institutional cards, relying on personal cards.
Razorpay processes over $180 billion in transactions annually.
