Varanasi to Get New Bus Shelters and a Ropeway System
The city of Varanasi is making it easier to get around!
They are building new, comfy bus stops with solar panels and information screens so that people waiting for buses have a better experience.
These new bus stops will have charging points and vending machines for convenience.
Also, they're building a cool ropeway, like a cable car, to help people travel around the city.
The ropeway construction is moving fast, and they plan to finish part of it soon.
They even did test runs to make sure it's safe and ready to go!
Varanasi is set to receive 40 modern bus stop shelters to improve passenger experience.
The shelters will be eco-friendly, equipped with solar panels, backup power, and real-time information.
Amenities will include vending zones and public vehicle charging points.
Construction of India's first urban transport ropeway is underway, with the first section nearing completion.
Trial runs for the ropeway began in January and were successfully completed in April.
