Floods Inundate Bengal Villages as Two Arrested in Vaidya Case

Floods covered more than 50 villages in three districts of West Bengal.

Landslides in Assam also interrupted train services.

Separately, investigators arrested two people in Connaught Place.

Officials said the pair allegedly had links to the people who killed General A. S. Vaidya and Lalit Maken.

They were also accused of helping the wanted terrorists leave the country.

The reports did not give details about the arrested people.

The flood and arrest reports were both dated October 10, 1986.
