Hunter Greene likely to miss 2027 after second Tommy John surgery

Hunter Greene likely to miss 2027 after second Tommy John surgery

Hunter Greene is a baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds.

He got hurt in his throwing elbow.

Doctors had to fix his elbow with a special surgery called Tommy John surgery.

This is the second time he has had this surgery.

He will need a very long time to heal, probably one to one and a half years.

That means he will miss the whole 2027 baseball season.

His team will have to play without him.

He was one of their best pitchers before he got hurt.

He has come back from elbow surgery before and became an All-Star.

His team hopes he can do it again, but they are also making plans without him for next season.
