Delhi to Expand Healthcare with New Ayushman Mandirs
The Delhi government is building more healthcare clinics called Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, aiming for over 100 by late 2025.
These clinics will be in different places around the city, including existing ones that are being updated.
The government has a lot of money for this project, and the plan is to offer basic healthcare and diagnostic facilities.
Some projects are delayed because they are waiting for approvals from different agencies.
This initiative is part of a plan to bring better health services to the people of Delhi.
Delhi plans to establish over 100 Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (UAAMs) by September 2025.
108 sites have been identified across various civic agencies for the clinics.
Several existing Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics (AAMCs) will be repurposed as UAAMs.
Rs 1,749 crore has been allocated for establishing 1,139 UAAMs.
Project faces delays in some places due to pending NOCs from agencies.
