Machilipatnam MP urges Centre to expedite AMRUT projects
Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashowry has asked the Central government to hurry up and finish some important projects in Machilipatnam.
These projects, which started in 2016-17, are meant to improve the city's water and sewage systems.
The MP said that the projects are taking too long to finish and that the costs have gone up because of the delay.
He wants the government to make sure these projects are completed quickly so that the city can have better infrastructure.
Additionally, the Central government has given money to Krishna University to improve its buildings and equipment, which will help students have better facilities for learning.
Machilipatnam MP urges Centre to expedite AMRUT projects sanctioned in 2016-17.
Three projects include sewerage and stormwater drainage with a total cost of Rs 29.89 crore, now escalated to Rs 35 crore.
Projects are 90% and 50% complete, with completion scheduled for December 2025.
Centre sanctioned Rs 20 crore to Krishna University under PM-USHA for infrastructure and academic development.
