Patient Death at NMCH Triggers Family Assault and Doctors' Strike
A 70‑year‑old man named Amar Singh died at a hospital in Kota.
His family said the doctors moved him to another bed because a VIP visited, and that caused his death.
The family got angry and hit the doctors.
The doctors stopped working for three hours to protest.
Police arrested the man's son for the assault.
The hospital says the bed move was normal and the man was already very sick.
The police are still looking into what happened.
Amar Singh, 70, died at New Medical College Hospital in Kota after a week in ICU.
Family claims he was moved to another bed for a VIP visit and left unattended, causing death.
Doctors boycotted work for about three hours demanding action against alleged negligence.
Police arrested the deceased’s son, Shakti Singh, for assault and obstruction.
Hospital superintendent Dr Ashutosh Sharma says the bed shift was routine and the patient was already critical.
