Iran Warns Neighbors as Trump Escalates Economic Pressure
Iran and the United States are still in a serious conflict.
Iran’s security official warned nearby countries not to help America pressure Iran economically.
He said Iran might treat countries that help the United States as enemies.
Iran also criticized President Trump for making countries feel less safe about nuclear weapons.
The United States is planning more sanctions and other economic measures.
These measures could affect Iran’s important trading partners, including China.
Reports say Iran could respond by attacking targets around the Gulf.
The two sides have stopped firing at each other, but they have not begun peace talks.
Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei warned neighboring countries against joining Washington’s economic pressure campaign.
Rezaei said Iran could regard countries supporting the US measures as enemies, while denying Tehran seeks escalation.
He accused Donald Trump of creating “nuclear insecurity” and said US actions could encourage interest in nuclear weapons.
Trump’s administration is preparing new sanctions, a naval blockade, and pressure on Iran’s trading partners.
Reports warn that increased pressure could prompt Iranian military strikes against Gulf targets and energy infrastructure.
